The Yakima Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident on Nob Hill Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.
The officials stated that the suspect sped through a red light at the 16th Avenue intersection and struck a vehicle driven by an 80-year-old man.
The man further collided with two other vehicles stated the officials.
Officials reported that the suspect’s vehicle rolled onto its side.
The 80-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center via helicopter with serious injuries.
One of the other drivers also suffered minor injuries.
The Yakima Police Department arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of vehicular assault.
No additional information regarding the identity of the victim was provided by the YDP.
