77-year-old Norimoto Murai dead after a bicycle crash on Stanford Avenue (Baton Rouge, LA)

On Saturday morning, a two-vehicle collision took the life of 77-year-old Norimoto Murai on Stanford Avenue.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the 700 block of Stanford Avenue at about 10:55 a.m. after getting reports of a bicycle crash. The preliminary investigation showed that a 2017 Hyundai Tucson struck a cyclist for reasons that are yet to be known.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed the bike rider, identified as Norimoto Murai, to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. No other details have been provided by the officials.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
