74-year-old Joseph Curran dead after a vehicle crashed into a bus stop in the Elysian Park (Los Angeles, CA)

On Monday, authorities identified 74-year-old Joseph Curran as the man who lost his life following a traffic accident Tuesday in the Elysian Park.

The single-vehicle crash was reported just after 4:20 p.m. in the area of 1001 N. Broadway, fewer than 2 miles from Dodger Stadium. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle slammed into a bus stop in the Elysian Park area.

Joseph Curran died from multiple blunt force injuries. His city of residence remains unknown at this time. Two other people were injured, with one of them rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. It is unknown if the patients were pedestrians or occupants of vehicles. No further details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
