73-year-old man seriously injured following an auto-pedestrian crash in Excelsior (San Francisco, CA)

A 73-year-old man received serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash was reported at 9:31 a.m. in the area of Mission Street and Persia Avenue. On arrival, paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials, and was not detained at the scene. The identity of the injured pedestrian has not been released. No further details are available.

The crash remains under review.
