72-year-old woman hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Tenderloin (San Francisco, CA)

A 72-year-old woman received injuries after being hit by an electric scooter Monday afternoon in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run collision was reported just after noon in the 300 block of Ellis Street. The preliminary reports showed that a man riding an electric scooter struck a 72-year-old woman and left the scene before responders arrived at the scene.

The woman was transported to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening. The male scooter driver remains at large at the moment and authorities have not released a detailed description of him. No other information is available.

The incident remains under active review.
