71-Year-Old Kenneth Mayor Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Green Hills (Nashville, TN)

Metro police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Woodmont Boulevard and Golf Club lane at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Kenneth Mayor, 71, was identified as the man who died after being hit by an SUV in Green Hills. 

According to the Metro police, Mayor was walking on the south side when he stepped into the roadway and was struck by a 21-year-old Franklin woman driving a Toyota Rav 4. 

Mayor was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he died later. 

No charges have been filed against the driver at this moment. 

The investigators are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed were a factor in the crash.

Additional information regarding the crash is currently unavailable. An investigation into the crash is under review.
