71-year-old Guillermina Carapia Lara died after a two-vehicle collision in Fresno County (Fresno County, CA)

Authorities identified 71-year-old Guillermina Carapia Lara, from Fresno, as the woman who lost her life following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night in Fresno County.

The fatal car crash took place just before 7 at the intersection of Manning and Marks, just east of Raisin City. The investigation reports showed that the Honda Fit driven by Lara was heading south on Marks while a semi-truck driven by a 54-year-old man was traveling south on Manning when the woman pulled out in front of the semi.

The driver of the truck veered, but ended up hitting the woman’s car. Lara succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver of the truck remained unharmed in the wreck. No further details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
