70-year-old man killed, 4 people hospitalized after a head-on collision in Surprise (Surprise, AZ)

On late Saturday night, a 70-year-old man lost his life while four people, including 3 children suffered serious injuries following a wrong-way collision in Surprise.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on U.S. 60 near Jomax Road a little before midnight. The early reports showed that a 70-year-old man was going west in a BMW SUV in the eastbound lanes when his car crashed head-on into Toyota Sequoia. The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.

On arrival, emergency responders rushed the male driver of the SUV along with three kids under the age of 15 to the hospital with serious injuries, but they are expected to be fine. The identities of the victims have not been revealed at this time. No other information has been provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
