The Kern County coroner’s office reported a bicycle accident in Wasco on Sunday evening.
According to the officials, 67-year-old Salvador Covarrubias was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Fiburn and Poplar Avenue.
Officials reported that the bicyclist was struck by a truck at around 8:39 p.m.
The officials pronounced Covarrubias dead at the scene.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at the moment.
The identity of the suspect was not released by the officials.
The officials gave no additional information regarding the crash.
