According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in San Diego at around 7:30 p.m. The crash happened at the intersection of Harbor Drive and Schley Street on Friday.
According to the investigators, an unknown trolley and a 67-year-old were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the trolley driver struck an unknown homeless man.
A 67-year-old Roy Mattingly was identified as the homeless man who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
