67-Year-Old Man Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Fullerton (Fullerton, CA)

According to the officials, a hit-and-run accident took place in Chapman on Thursday morning. 

The officials stated that a 67-year-old man was riding his bicycle on Chapman Avenue near Ladera Vista Drive just after 5 a.m. when he was struck by a Ford F-250 and thrown into a planter. 

Captain Jon Radus stated that the truck driver went onto a sidewalk and lost a front tire. 

Witnesses reported that the truck driver fled the scene. 

Witnesses reported that a vehicle was noticed with a missing tire and sparks. 

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.

The identity of the victim had not been released by the officials. 

The suspect is on the run. 

No additional information regarding the bicycle crash is available.
