The Nashville Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Nashville on Sunday.
The accident took place at Neelys Chase Drive on Neelys Bend Road at around 12:15 a.m.
The collision involved only one vehicle.
Gregory Lee Young, 67, of Madison, was traveling east on Neelys Bend Road in his 2012 Chrysler Town and Country minivan when he lost control in a curve, veered off the road, and collided with a tree.
Young passed away at the scene, while his 61-year-old female passenger sustained non-critical wounds, according to authorities.
They were both restrained by seat belts.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the police.
