66-year-old woman injured after a three-vehicle pile-up in Kent County (Vergennes Township, MI)

On Sunday morning, a 66-year-old Grand Rapids woman suffered serious injuries following a multi-vehicle accident in Kent County.

As per the initial information, the three-vehicle pile-up took place at about 10 a.m. in the 2500 block of Lincoln Lake Avenue NE. The early reports showed that a 66-year-old woman was driving a Hyundai Sonata northbound when she tried to pass a Ford Fusion. Just then, the Sonata crashed into an oncoming GMC Yukon. On arrival, medics rushed the woman to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 47-year-old Lowell woman and her 16-year-old daughter were riding in the Ford Fusion. The GMC Yukon was driven by a 36-year-old Lowell man. All the three individuals were provided medical aid at the scene and released. According to the officials, no citations have been issued at this time. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is continuing.
