Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a two-vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on LA Hwy 1266 at Cut Thru Road around 5:00 p.m.
The victim was identified as 66-year-old Robert Holden.
According to LSP, Logan Temple was driving a Chevy Silverado south on Cut Thru Road when she made a wide left turn. A GMC Yukon was also traveling east on the highway when it went to dodge the truck and avoid a collision but over-steered, causing it to overturn.
Holden, who was a passenger in the Yukon, was thrown out of the vehicle and died. He was not restrained during the crash.
The Yukon driver, Tammy Perot, 54, who was not restrained, was also ejected during the crash. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Chevy driver was wearing her seatbelt and remained uninjured from the crash.
