65-year-old Obera Washington dead after a motorcycle crash in Watts (Los Angeles, CA)

On Monday, authorities identified 65-year-old Obera Washington as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident on Saturday in Watts.

The fatal motorcycle crash took place a little after 6 p.m. at Compton Avenue and Century Boulevard. According to the investigation reports, Obera Washington was heading southbound on Compton Avenue when a driver traveling northbound turned his car left in front of the man onto Century Boulevard.

The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. His city of residence was unknown. The driver of the car stayed at the scene after the collision, officials reported. No other information has been provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
