Authorities identified 65-year-old Nancy Kiel Beaver as the woman who lost her life following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Wichita Falls.
As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the intersection of Sisk Road and Southwest Parkway at about 7:41 a.m. in response to a bicycle accident. The preliminary reports showed that a pickup truck and a bicycle were involved in the collision.
The reports further stated that Nancy Kiel Beaver, from Wichita Falls, was heading westbound on Southwest parkway trying to turn south onto Sisk Road. At that point of time, the truck was northbound on Sisk Road attempting to turn westbound onto Southwest Parkway.
The reports also revealed that the driver of the truck did not see Beaver and proceeded into the intersection where the front end of the truck hit the bicycle. Beaver was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. She was alert and talking with responders during the investigation of the accident.
Beaver was taken by AMR as a precaution to United Regional, where she was declared dead at 10:58 a.m. Her body is being sent for autopsy. No charges are pending at this time. No other details are available.
An investigation is continuing.
