65-year-old man died after a car crash in San Jose (San Jose, CA)

A 65-year-old man lost his life after a traffic collision Tuesday in San Jose.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on State Route 35 (Skyline Boulevard) just south of Fox Run at about 9:40 a.m. The preliminary reports showed that the Honda Accord was heading southbound on State Route 35 when the car swerved to the right and off the road.

It then traveled over the dirt shoulder and slammed into two boulders. The car had major damage and the driver, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:24 a.m. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The crash remains under investigation.
