65-year-old man dead after his bicycle got hit by a truck in Northside (Houston, TX)

A 65-year-old man lost his life after a two-vehicle accident last week in the Northside/Northline area.

As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash took place in Houston. The preliminary reports showed that the victim was traveling east at 7500 Northline Dr. just before 12:30 p.m. Dec. 10, when he tried to cross the intersection at East Little York.

At that point of time, the driver of a red Freightliner truck heading south on Northline attempted to turn onto East Little York and struck the bicyclist. The 65-year-old man was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver did not show any signs of intoxication when interviewed at the scene. At this time, it is unknown who had the right-of-way. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
