The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash that killed a 63-year-old woman in San Diego on Monday.
At around 11:46 p.m., the woman driving a White Nissan Maxima on I- I-805 northbound, suddenly drifted off the road. The vehicle then shifted to SR-94 and struck a metal pole.
As a result, the woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
