63-year-old Warren man dead after a two-vehicle crash in Shelby Township (Shelby Township, MI)

On Tuesday, a 63-year-old Warren man lost his life after colliding with a car at a red light in Shelby Township.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at 5:48 a.m. on eastbound 23 Mile Road at Schoenherr Road. The early reports indicated that the 63-year-old man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck when he rear-ended a Ford Fusion.

The pickup then swerved off the road and struck a tree. On arrival, emergency personnel transported the man to a hospital, where he died of his injuries on Wednesday. The driver of the Fusion, a 39-year-old from Washington Township, remained uninjured in the accident. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
