Authorities identified 63-year-old Mark Becker and 66-year-old Nancy Becker, both from Taylor, as the victims who were killed following a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Taylor while a man was arrested and charged with manslaughter charges.
The Taylor Police Department actively responded to the intersection of North State Highway 95, North Main Street and Chandler Road after getting reports of a motorcycle crash. The preliminary reports showed that a car driven by 27-year-old Dylan Wade Weise collided with a motorcycle driven by 63-year-old Mark Becker.
Williamson County Emergency Medical Services, along with the Taylor Fire Department, were sent to the scene and performed life-saving measures on both Mark Becker and his passenger, 66-year-old Nancy Becker. Despite the life-saving efforts, both Mark and Nancy Becker were declared dead at the scene.
The reports further stated that Weise did not yield the right of way by making a left turn in front of Mark Becker’s motorcycle. The investigation determined that Weise was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Weise was taken into custody and has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter, a second-degree felony. No other details are available.
An investigation continues.
