62-year-old Randolf Brinson killed after an auto-pedestrian crash in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

Authorities identified 62-year-old Randolf Brinson as the man who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday night in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place in the 900 Block of Walton Way. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle struck Randolf Brinson, from Augusta, for reasons that are yet to be known.

The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. An autopsy is scheduled at the GBI Lab, officials said. No other details have been provided by the authorities.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
