61-Year-Old Person Killed In A Fatal Crash In Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday evening in Sunnyvale.

Authorities confirmed that one person died due to the accident.

Officials stated that the collision occurred on westbound Highway 237, near Mathilda Avenue.

A 62-year-old woman was driving a 2007 Lexus ES 350, and had to stop when she approached traffic. 

However even though she hit the brakes, she could not avoid crashing into a car in front of her.

A 61-year-old in the rear seat of the Lexus was seriously injured and was transported to Stanford Medical Center and died the following day.

The investigation is underway by the CHP.
