The Michigan State Police reported a single-vehicle crash on Friday evening.
The accident occurred on Sprinkle Road near East Michigan Avenue at around 8.30 p.m.
The officials reported that a 2002 red Subaru had veered off the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver was killed and pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified to be 61-years-old and from Vicksburg. There are no other details related to his identity that have been released.
The cause of the fatal accident is still under investigation.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
