According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle collision occurred in Nevada County.
Donald Foley, 61, was travelling in his Harley Davidson Sportster when he failed to make a turn along Combie Road. Foley was travelling at a high rate of speed.
Officials stated that the crash happened around 5:35 p.m. near Cascade Crossing Road in south Nevada County.
Authorities reported that Foley’s bike left the roadway and he was ejected from his bike. He hit a series of rocks and the bike landed on top of him.
First responders and witnesses tried to help him but he succumbed to injuries and died.
The officials mentioned that the use of drugs or alcohol was not the factor involved in the fatal crash.
The crash is being investigated by CHP officials.
