60-year-old Richard A Becker injured after a traffic collision north of Pullman (Pullman, WA)

Authorities identified 60-year-old Richard A Becker, from Post Falls, as the man who suffered injuries following a crash involving a garbage truck on Thursday afternoon North of Pullman.

The traffic collision took place on U.S. Route 195. According to the investigation reports, Richard A Becker was traveling north in a Pullman Disposal Service truck on U.S. Route 195 when the garbage truck’s right front tire failed.

The truck then drifted from the road and struck a dirt embankment before ending up in a ditch near Mile Point 23. Becker was buckled up at the time of the accident. Becker, who was unconscious, was flown to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. The incident did not lead to any other injuries. No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
