6-Year-Old Boy Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX)

According to the police, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Saturday night in Grand Prairie. 

The officials stated that 35-year-old Herschel Pearson was traveling in the 2700 block of Regency Drive when he struck a 6-year-old boy who was crossing the road. 

According to the investigation report, at around 8 p.m. the crash happened about a mile north of W.Carrier Parkway and Highway 360. 

The unidentified child was crossing from a residential area to a parking lot when he was hit. 

Police stated that he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Pearson has been arrested for driving under the influence at the time of the crash. 

The officials did not provide any other information regarding the fatal crash
