6 people hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach; driver sought (Long Beach, CA)

Police are looking for the hit-and-run motorist who drove their Sedan onto a sidewalk in Long Beach Sunday morning and struck six people before leaving the scene.

Officers were initially sent to the 1300 block of Orange Avenue, close to Anaheim Street, at 2:43 a.m. Sunday regarding an “unknown trouble” call, which was later found out to be an assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence incident involving a man and a woman.

The early reports showed that the man drove a blue sedan onto the sidewalk and hit six people, who were standing on the sidewalk at the tail end of a Halloween party. The sedan then took off, and was last seen traveling northbound on Orange Avenue. On arrival, medics immediately took five adults and one juvenile to area hospitals, where they were listed in stable condition. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
