6 people hospitalized after a carjacked SUV collides head-on with another SUV in Oakland (Oakland, CA)

A 14-year-old motorist of a red SUV that was carjacked last week crashed head-on into another SUV on Wednesday, injuring himself, four other teenage boys and a woman.

As per the initial information, the incident took place in the 3000 block of Park Boulevard, near Eighth Avenue. The previously carjacked SUV was heading south on Park Boulevard toward International Boulevard when it collided with the blue SUV head-on.

On arrival, emergency crews took all six via ambulance to hospitals in the area with non-life-threatening injuries. All four teens were either 14 or 15 years old and in an SUV that had been carjacked on Oct. 14 from a woman in the city’s Laurel District. That woman did not receive any injuries in the carjacking.

Police are trying to determine if any of the teens in that SUV were involved in the carjacking itself. The driver of the other SUV was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The preliminary reports showed that witnesses took her out from the vehicle. Naul Manzanarez helped in pulling the woman from the blue SUV. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
