On Tuesday night, 59-year-old Ricky E Bensch, of Ephrata, suffered injuries following a rollover crash near Ritzville.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place on Interstate 90, around five miles west of Ritzville. The preliminary investigation showed that Ricky E Bensch was driving a 1996 Mazda pickup truck west on I-90 when he veered into the median. Bensch then overcorrected and the vehicle flipped onto the north embankment.
Due to the impact, Bensch was ejected from the truck as he was not buckled up at that time. On arrival, paramedics took him to the hospital with unspecified injuries. It is unknown if any charges against Bensch are pending. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
