The Fresno Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that killed a 59-year-old man who was in a wheelchair in Fresno on Friday.
Approximately at 10:20 p.m., Fred Leon Black who was in a wheelchair, trying to cross Blackstone Avenue. He was struck by a car. Even after being transported to the hospital, he succumbed to the injuries.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation. No further information is available at the moment.
