Authorities confirmed that 58-year-old Whitney Brown, a Carencro man, died of injuries he suffered after being involved in a traffic collision last week on Interstate 10 in St. Martin Parish.
The fatal single-vehicle accident took place on November 18 near milepost 113, between Breaux Bridge and Henderson in St. Martin Parish. According to the reports, Brown was traveling east on Interstate 10 when his vehicle drifted off the roadway and hit the barrier wall.
Brown was ejected from the vehicle due to the impact. On arrival, medics rushed him to a local hospital in critical condition. Early on Monday, officers were notified by hospital staff that Brown had died from his injuries. Impairment is unknown at this time as toxicology results are pending. No other details are available.
