Authorities identified 58-year-old Tracy Silva as the victim who received injuries following an electric scooter crash Monday in Las Vegas.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place at about 3:46 p.m on Wigwam Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a 2017 Ram 2500 pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Kaitlyn Cartwright turned right from the left turn lane, and struck the electric scooter.
On arrival, first responders rushed Silva to UMC Trauma with major injuries. Impairment was not a factor in the crash. Cartwright remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers. No further details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
