On Tuesday, a 58-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a car vs. semi-truck collision near Spring Lake.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at about 7:05 p.m. on State Road near 148th Avenue. The early reports indicated that a semi-truck with an unloaded flatbed trailer was backing into a private drive, blocking the eastbound lane of State Road. Just then, a car traveling eastbound slammed into the trailer of the truck.
On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the driver of the car, a 58-year-old Nunica man, to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The semi-truck driver, a 27-year-old Coopersville man, remained unharmed. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
