According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Canyon on Tuesday. The crash happened northbound on High Country Drive at around 3:30 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 58-year-old and an unknown vehicle were involved in the collision. The driver of the unknown vehicle was traveling at a high speed and crashed into a goose-neck trailer.
A 58-year-old Karen Westbrook was identified as the driver of the unknown vehicle who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the reports, it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
