According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Oakdale on Friday. The crash happened on Greger Street, east of Wild Stallion Drive at around 5:45 p.m.
According to the reports, an unknown vehicle and a 58-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the unknown vehicle hit the roundabout in the center of the street, lost control, and crashed into a residence.
A 58-year-old Jim Screeton Jr was identified as the driver of the unknown vehicle who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
