On Tuesday night, a vehicle hit and killed 58-year-old Debra Jones in Marietta.
As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian accident took place near the Shell gas station at 2365 Delk Road at about 8:50 p.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that the woman, from Marietta, was walking with her 2 elementary school-aged grandchildren and was trying to cross Delk Road outside of a crosswalk when she was hit.
