On Sunday morning, 58-year-old Connie Sparrow, from Texarkana, was killed following a traffic collision in Bowie County.
As per the initial information, officials actively responded to an Interstate 30 bridge, approximately 20 miles from New Boston, Texas at about 2:30 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle was heading eastbound on Interstate 30 when the driver failed to maintain control on an icy bridge, causing the vehicle to strike the concrete side rails.
All occupants were ejected from the car due to the impact. On arrival, paramedics rushed the victims to a local hospital in unknown condition. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Connie Sparrow, died of their injuries after the accident. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
