According to the Midland Police Department, a pedestrian accident was reported on Tuesday.
The officials stated that a pedestrian crash occurred at the 4300 block of W Loop 250 N south service road.
The preliminary investigation stated that 57-year-old Tony Ray Vance of Lubbock was attempting to cross the south service road of W Loop 250 on foot and failed to yield the right of way to vehicle traffic.
Officials pronounced him dead at the scene following the collision.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
Police are yet to confirm whether drugs, alcohol or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
