57-year-old Martin Villegas dead after a hit-and-run crash in San Bernardino (San Bernardino, CA)

On Tuesday, 57-year-old Martin Villegas lost his life following a hit-and-run accident in San Bernardino.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at approximately 10:05 p.m. on South Pepper Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that a northbound Dodge Challenger crashed into a Toyota Corolla from behind at a high rate of speed.

Due to the impact, the Toyota driven by Martin Villegas, of San Bernardino, slammed into a streetlight. The driver of the Dodge left the scene after the collision. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the victim to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
