A deadly motorcycle crash closed the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road in west Phoenix on Wednesday morning. The victim was identified as 57-year-old Edward Lee.
Lee was critically injured when a car turned in front of his northbound motorcycle. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car remained at the multi-vehicle accident, showing no signs of impairment. Detectives are investigating the incident, and it is currently unclear whether any charges will be filed in connection with the fatal crash. The intersection closure was in effect while authorities conducted their investigation.
