56-Year-Old Man Killed In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Houston (Houston, TX)

Houston Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at a gas station in the 11100 block of Monroe road near the Beltway that resulted in a death. 

A 56-year-old driving a black Nissan Maxima northbound on Monroe was struck by a White Ford Explorer.

Police say the 19-year-old driver of the Ford failed to yield the right of way while leaving a stop sign. Following the crash, the Nissan hit a tree and the poles of a gas station.

The 56-year-old victim was taken to HCA Clear Lake Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later.  

The Ford driver remained unharmed and was questioned by the officials. He was later released pending further investigations.

No arrests have been made so far following the crash.
