According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Tyler County on Wednesday.
The crash happened on Highway 190 midway between Dam B and Woodville at around 10 a.m.
The officials stated that a 2006 Buick SUV, a 2017 Kenworth truck, and a trailer were involved in the collision.
The driver of the SUV was traveling eastbound and crashed into the side of the truck and trailer loaded with a log skidder.
56-year-old Jose Ceniceros was identified as the driver of the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger in the SUV was identified as 51-year-old Rosalia Medrano. She suffered major injuries and was rushed to the Conroe hospital.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
