55-year-old Wayne Shiffer suffered injuries in a moped crash on east side (Sunrise Manor, NV)

A 55-year-old Wayne Shiffer, a moped rider is in serious condition after a crash on Monday morning.

Las Vegas police got the news of the incident at around 9:26 a.m. about a moped collision on Bryce Canyon Avenue near Mt. Hood Street. Bystander’s statements and evidence on the scene showed that Wayne Shiffer was riding his moped eastbound on Bryce Canyon.

A small dog ran out into the street and the front of the moped struck the dog. The owners transported the dog to a vet, but the dog was declared dead. On arrival, paramedics rushed the moped rider to UMC Trauma.

An investigation is underway.
