Phoenix police stated that a man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision on Tuesday evening. The victim, John Franklin, 55, was found severely injured on the road and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Investigators state that the victim had been trying to cross a road – Baseline Road when he was struck by a vehicle heading westbound.
The driver fled the scene of the incident before investigators and authorities arrived. The reason leading up to the accident is unclear at this time.
