55-year-old James Herring dead after a bicycle accident in Vivian (Vivian, LA)

Authorities identified 55-year-old James Herring as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday night in Vivian.

The fatal bicycle accident took place in the 900 block of North Pine Street. According to the investigation reports, the Vivian man was riding his bicycle when a car struck him for reasons that are yet to be known. The man died of his injuries after the crash.

The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office identified the bicycle rider as 55-year-old James Herring. The driver of the car reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
