Michigan State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on eastbound I-96 near Grand River in Brighton Township.
The victim was identified as 54-year-old Melissa Fletcher of Detroit.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries following the crash.
It is unclear what caused the crash and if alcohol or drugs were a factor. Other details regarding the wreck are unknown. An investigation into the crash is underway.
