A 54-year-old-man from Hughson lost his life following a rollover crash Friday in Turlock.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place along State Route 99. The preliminary reports showed that the man was heading southbound on SR-99 in a 2005 Chevy SUV when, for unknown reasons, he began to lose control of his car and turned sharply to the right, towards the number three lane.
The vehicle then veered off the western edge of the road where it flipped over several times. The man was not buckled up at the time and was thrown from the vehicle and the Chevy finally came to a stop on its wheels west of the west road edge of the Fulkerth on ramp. The man was declared dead at the scene. It is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved in the crash. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
