On Monday morning, a 53-year-old man suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Knoxville.
As per the initial information, the bicycle crash took place at about 7:50 a.m. on Chapman Highway. The early reports showed that the bicyclist, a 53-year-old man, was heading north on the right shoulder of Chapman Highway and turned into the path of a Chevrolet Colorado that was also going in the same direction without warning.
The bicyclist hit the front passenger side of the truck and was thrown onto the road. The incident was confirmed by witnesses, as well. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the biker to a hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
