53-year-old John Morales died after a motorcycle crash in Tucson (Tucson, AZ)

Authorities identified 53-year-old John Morales who died after a wreck Tuesday in Tucson.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place in the 5100 block of East 22nd Street. The investigation reports showed that he was riding a 2020 Honda CBR500 on 22nd Street when a grey 1999 Saturn S12 struck him while making a turn onto the street.

The Saturn then collided with a white 2011 Nissan Sentra that was waiting to turn right onto 22nd Street. The driver of the Saturn was not impaired at the time of the accident. According to Witnesses, Morales was riding at excessive speeds at the time of the collision. The Saturn also did not yield while turning. No charges or citations have been issued.

An investigation is continuing.
